The term "Holiday" dates back to the days of the great wooden sailing ships. During the long slow voyages, ship maintenance was a must. One of the most important duties was that of the mast sealer. A sailor would seal the mast of the ship with tar to prevent the wood from rotting. If the sailor missed coating an area of the mast the wood would rot. It was said, the sailor must have taken a Holiday at that point thus not achieving a good coat of tar on the mast. Later as steel replaced wood, paint replaced tar. However, holidays live on.

The Model AP

This Holiday Detector is our best yet. With a regulated voltage range from 1000 to 14,000 volts the totally redesigned AP delivers true voltage to a coated sub straight regardless of its size. The Model AP is not subject to "false holidays" brought on by moisture on the coating due to Tinker & Rasor's use of Pulse Type D.C. Voltage. As with all of our High Voltage Holiday Detectors they work when you work, rain or shine.

Full and Half Circle Electrodes
for Inspection of Pipelines:

Full Circle Spring Type Electrodes are made of thick flat wire to insure intimate contact of the Electrode to coatings surface. This type of wire holds its shape even on large diameter pipe without sagging. Our exclusive coupling system rolls smoothly down the pipe using sealed bearing connection points.

The Patented Tinker & Rasor Half Circle Electrodes allow for fast transition around "T's" as well as rapid inspection of weld joints without having to disassemble the Electrode.

our Internal Silicone Electrodes:

Our Internal Electrodes are custom made to our customers specifications from highly conductive silicone rubber. The silicone is sandwiched between aluminum plates and riveted together. We have created Internal Silicone Electrodes from 2 inches to 48 inches. As with all Tinker & Rasor products, even our custom orders are shipped the same day as ordered.
