USINGTHE QC-100A 1.Turn the QC-100A on using the power switch on the front panel. The POWER ON indicatorwill light. 2.When the QC-100A is turned on, the display will read Enter local time. Enter the currenttime in a 24-hour format. The display will then show the MainMenu. If the QC-100A has been previously programmed, the unitwill begin execution of the program(s) stored in non-volatilememory. 3.SCROLLING MENU OPTIONS Programming mode Enter new programs, beginning with Program#1. Delete existing programs as a group. Note: 7 programs maximum. Editing mode Edit existing programs. Erase a single program. Add a program, beginning with the nextavailable program. Cycle mode Choose a program to cycle indefinitely. View mode Review programs currently stored in theQC-100As memory or the current time programmed on theQC-100A. Exit Leave menu and begin automatic executionof stored programs.
TOPROGRAM THE QC-100A Choose 1 from the menu. Press any key other than E. Enter the Program start time. Note:Enter local time using 24 hour format (military time e.g.2:00 P.M. is 14:00.00). Program start time must be equal or laterthan previous program stop time if both programs are for thesame day. Enter the program stop time. Note: Stoptime must be later than stop time if the program startsand stops on the same day. Enter the program On interval. Note:How long you want the current to be applied to the structure. Enter the program Off interval. Note:How long you want the current to be removed from thestructure.
TODELETE ALL PROGRAMS Choose 1 fromthe menu. Press E. Press 1 to confirmdelete.
TODELETE A SINGLE PROGRAM Choose 2 fromthe menu. Press any keyother than E. Press D. Enter programnumber to delete. The programis now deleted and the remaining programs are moved up.
TOADD A PROGRAM Choose 2 fromthe menu. Press any keyother than E. Press A to adda program. Note: 7 programs maximum. Enter program.Note: Same steps as described in the programmingmode.
TOEDIT A PROGRAM Choose 2 fromthe menu. Press any keyother than E. Press E to edita program. Note: 7 programs maximum. Enter the programnumber to edit. Enter dates andtimes as in programming mode or press F to goforward to the next entry.
TOENTER CONTINUOUS CYCLE MODE Turn on the QC-100A. When the displayreads Enter local time, enter the current timein 24-hour format. Choose 3 fromthe Main Menu. Enter a Programnumber to cycle, or E to exit. The QC-100Awill begin interrupting immediately to the start and stoptimes in the selected program. To exit the ContinuousCycle mode, press any key while the unit is interrupting.
TOVIEW PROGRAM CONTENTS Choose 4 fromthe menu. Press any keyother than E. Choose 0 toview program, 1 to view time. Choose programnumber to display. The QC-100Awill display start and stop times. Press any keyto move to the next display. The QC-100Awill display the On and Off intervals. Press any keyto return to the Main Menu.
NOTES After Programmingthe QC-100A, the programs are stored in non-volatilememory, until the user either over-writes or erases them,even if the unit is turned off. To enter the timermode, program the QC-100A with at least 1 program. When the time reaches the programmed start timethe unit will begin interrupting until the programmed stop timeis reached. If more than one program exists, the QC-100A willautomatically re-enter timer mode after completion of the program,and wait for the next programmed start time. During thewait, current is applied to the structure. To enter Main Menufrom the view mode, press E at any time.
TOSYNCHRONIZE ADDITIONAL QC-100AS Connect synchronizecable to the Output jack on the front panelof the first or master QC-100A. Connect the otherend of the synchronize cable to the Inputjack of the second QC-100A. If you are connectingthree or more interrupters, simply connectanother synchronize cable to the Output jack of thesecond interrupter and into the Input jack of the third. Continueconnecting additional interrupters in a daisy chainuntil all interrupters are connected. Turn on the powerto all interrupters. Enter the currenttime on the keypad of the Master QC-100A.If all the interrupters are to have the same program,enter the program data on the Master QC-100A. After all interruptershave been programmed, disconnect thesynchronize cables and install the interrupters at desiredlocations.
